Gunmen attack Katsina Village, killed 15, kidnapped women
An attack on Zango village in Katsina State, north-west Nigeria, on Sunday evening, has left not less than Fifteen people dead, reportedly killed by gunmen.
A resident of Kankara, told newsmen on Monday, said the armed men stormed the village in Kankara Local Government Area of the state, kidnapped women.
“The gunmen also set ablaze the house and car of our village head,” the source said.
However, the State Police Command has yet to confirm the incident at the time of this report.
When the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the affected area were contacted, the Spokesman for the command, Gambo Isah, declined to to give details on the attack but promised to respond later.
He said, “I am still waiting for the DPO. When I get the full details from the DPO, I will get back to you.”
