Some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reportedly entered Afaraukwu community on convoy breached both police and military checkpoints.
In viral video footage retrieved by SCANNEWS 24, the members popularly referred to as ‘Lion Squad’ comprising the Hardcore units within the group said they are waiting for any soldier to stop them.
They maintained that not even Police or military will stop them as they are ready to sweep them off their way.
The leader of the group, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through his Lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor had issued a formal statement urging the security personnel to vacate the mourning community.
He said the call is geared towards protecting the people of the community from imminent danger that may arise adding that similar occurrence led to unknown gunmen killing and destroying properties at Ejiofor’s compound.
He also called on members who are ready and willing to attend the burial of his parents, HRM, Eze and Lolo Okwu Kanu to feel free to come.
