According to reports, Another inferno was averted on Friday morning at Agulu, Anaocha local government area of Anambra state.
This is coming barely 48 hours after residents and businesses in Upper Iweka and Ochanja market suffered a tragic blow following an inferno Wednesday afternoon after fuel tanker explosion.
And another petrol tankers spilt fire into residential houses, cars and other valuable items along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway on Friday morning.
Total Casualties of Both incidents are not yet ascertained as the time of this report. But the previous said to had killed mother and baby, and over five others while the later killed over three persons.
Meanwhile, a retrieved report by SCANNEWS 24 had it that a fully loaded truck with petrol fell at about 7 am on Friday after it lost its brake while trying to make a U-turn in the town.
It was revealed that no life was lost, as men of the fire service were prompt to control the fuel from spilling over.
Confirming this on Friday, SP Haruna Mohammed, the Anambra State Police Command’s spokesperson, said both CP John Abang and men of the Fire Service department were on ground to ascertain the incident.
An Eyewitness, who granted an interview to newsmen also revealed that at about noon, another truck, making it third, were brought to evacuate the contents of the fallen tanker, while policemen were sighted cordoning off the area to prevent casualties.
