The Court of Attraction sitting in Abuja has upheld the victory of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State over the March governorship election.
In a unanimous judgement passed on Thursday, the court od appeal stroke out the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate in the election, Mr Emmauel Jime, for missing in merit.
The judgment additionally resolved all the problems towards the appellants.
In the meantime, the appellate courtroom awarded the sum of N150,000 fine against the APC”s Jime.
Governor Ortom contested for re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after decamping from the ruling party.
