Corps member serving with Channels TV dies during Shiites, Police Clash
Channels Television said to has lost a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Precious Owolabi, who is serving with the company.
Precious, who was attached to the Channels Television, was one of the victims involved in the clash between Islamic Movement of Nigeria and Nigeria security agents earlier today.
Following report on the Channels Television website, the Corps member sustained a “gunshot wound while covering the clash between the police and the Shiite protesters” on Monday in Abuja.
Regretting the ugly incident, Channels Television’s management and staff expressed great sadness for “the untimely and unfortunate death of such a promising journalist”.
“They pray that God will grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and avail his soul eternal rest”. It added.
