The Chief of army staff Lt TY Gen Burutai has been named the winner of the Africa Security Excellence Award for 2020.
This was revealed in a post shared on the Force’s official Facebook page on Saturday by Sagir Musa, Acting Director, Army Public Relations.
According to the Musa, the Ward which was organized by the Waves Publishers Limited, also Publishers of Security Waves Magazine, was given based on his ‘exemplary leadership and selfless effort to had ended the menace of Boko Haram in Nigeria.
It was however received by Maj General AA Tarfa the Commander Training and Doctrine Command.
