Recall that, the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has championed a call for an independent state of Biafra from Nigeria, and requested a referendum be conducted to determine the continuous coexistence of member states.

According to Kanu, the enlisted areas crossed into Delta, Rivers, Calabar, and Akwa Ibom with five South Eastern states. However, Garba Shehu’s post suggests only Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Abia states are to be allowed for Biafra.

In another development, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has called on Facebook management to cut off IPOB’s social media-related activities on their platform in view to halt the incitement of war.
