Buhari increases Ministerial nominees to 42 sends list to senate
Far from the one per state ministerial representation, Buhari has decided to also appoint one per geo-political zone, bringing the total to 42.
President Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly sent names of ministerial nominees to Senate for ratification.
According to TheCable, Buhari increased the names of the nominees to 42 as against 36 sent in 2015.
Far from the one per state ministerial representation, Buhari has decided to also appoint one per geo-political zone, bringing the total to 42. TheCable reports.
The list, which is expected to be unveiled on the floor of the senate on Tuesday, was sent to the senate on Monday evening via executive communication.
The senate, is expected to screen the nominees before proceeding on a two-month recess on Thursday,
Only about 12 ministers will be re-appointed from the former cabinet, this is contrary to early speculations.
