BREAKING: Air Peace To Convey Nigerians Back Home Freely
Following unabated xenophobic attacks rocking major states of South Africa on the majority of Africans, manly Nigerians, Air Peace offered to convey free flights to all Nigerians willing to return home.
This was disclosed by the spokesman of the ministry of foreign affairs, Ferdinand Nwonye, on Wednesday.
Recall that President Mohammadu Buhari had earlier dispatched Special Envoy to South Africa to mediate with President Cyril Ramaphosa, also remind him of diplomatic responsibility of protecting lives and properties of foreigners in his country.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Many Nigerians were reportedly affected in the fresh xenophobic attacks that started a few days ago in South Africa.
While disclosing the information, Nwonye said Air Peace volunteered to send an aircraft from Friday to evacuate Nigerians who wish to return to Nigeria “free of charge.”
“The general public is hereby advised to inform their relatives in South Africa to take advantage of this laudable gesture.
”Interested Nigerians are therefore advised to liaise with the High Commission of Nigeria in Pretoria and the Consulate General of Nigeria in Johannesburg for further necessary arrangement.”
