Just as the presidential tribunal, the Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and Atiku Abubakar, questioning President Mohammadu Buhari’s 2019 presidential election victory.
The seven men panel, which was led by Tanko Muhammad, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice, dismissed Atiku’s appeal for lacking in merit.
Speaking for the panel, Justice Muhammad said that members of the panel had read all the documents and exhibits filed in the case for about a fortnight, within which the panel arrived to conclusion that the appeal was lacking in merit.
Tanko further noted that the reason for the apex court’s decision would be made known on a latter date which would be communicated to all concerned.
