Black Sunday: Armed Fulanis Kill 40, Children, abduct Rev in Ondo (Video)
It has been terrible, in fact, a black Sunday in Nigeria regarding a regrettable tragedy of armed killers attacking a Catholic church in Ondo State.
A retrieved clip has indicated moments of agony, tears, and sadness after a suspected armed Fulani group invaded Owo Local Government Area and bombed Saint Francis Catholic Church, in Owa-luwa street shot sporadically at worshipers, and abducted the church priest, a Rev Father.
The victims involved in the ugly rampage include children, parents, and many others.
However, it is also gathered that the church is behind Olowo of Owo palace.
Many members of the congregation were shot and slaughtered.
The spokesperson for the state’s police command Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, could not be reached as every effort proved abortive and messages were not responded.
This is coming barely 24 hours after Islamic fanatics stoned to death a vigilante officer following an argument he refused to release a suspect under his custody.
He was later set ablaze before his office in Abuja citing a blasphemous statement.
Similarly, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education was killed regarding a believed statement against Prophet Mohammed during a group chat on WhatsApp.
Both incidents could not be arrested, police said because security men were overpowered.
