Biafrans in Italy displays Heroes celebration in glamorous style (Video)
Regards the Biafra Heroes Remembrance Day ongoing today, some Biafrans residence in Italy has displayed a glamourous celebration.
Since after end of the Biafra-Nigeria civil war, 30th May of every year has been mapped out to remember those killed in course of agitation before and after the 1967-70 war.
The memorial is followed with prayer procession, lighting of a candle, and distribution of gifts to bereaved families of those fallen Heroes and Heroines.
Agitators under the aegis of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had shifted major activities of the ceremony to 31st May, urging supporters and family unit to shut down every business activity across the country of residence.
In a minute and some seconds video retrieved on Sunday by #Scannews24 shows hundreds of culturally (Igbo Attire) dressed men and women including children dancing happily along major streets.
The celebration attracted the attention of foreigners who were seen to join the rally. Watch clip
However, in another development, security personnel in Enugu reportedly have arrested tens of worshippers suspected to be IPOB members in the state.
A clip shared by IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu on Sunday displays a moment over thirteen ably armed men of the police rounded up the worshippers in an unconfirmed location.
Kanu, who expressed displeasure urged Governor Emeka Ugwuanyi’s led government to ascertain nothing happens to victims and secure their quick release or face the consequences. See video
