Army Jet Combs For ESN Volunteers in Orlu Communities

A combat aircraft said to belong to the Nigerian army through Tuesday and Wednesday combing the tense Orlu communities in Imo State trying to find and engage operatives of the Eastern Security Network charged with killing soldiers and inflicting mayhem in the area.

According to a report, the aircraft caught the attention of the dwellers, who believed that the hovering plane was despatched to locate and engage the ESN personnel.

Footage which was sighted by SaharaReporter indicated the army plane drifting over the area on Tuesday.

A resident’s disclosure read “A helicopter has been deployed in Orlu. The military helicopter has been hovering over civilian homes. They should go to the forest and engage the ESN operatives. There’s tension everywhere,”

IPOB had on Tuesday condemned the Nigerian Military of carrying out the killing of five innocent residents of Okporo within the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.

Since final Friday, there was a crisis, since last Friday in in Orlu Communities after a clash involving the ESN operatives and troops leading to the loss of human lives.

Scannews24 gathered after fierce gun battle the soldiers could not get hold of the ESN officers.

The soldiers were said to be  overpowered due to their use of believeeld traditional powers.
