A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) standing for Sir Frank Ibezim captured in viral footage assuring electorates and members of his party to do anything monetarily to secure victory in the just concluded Imo North by-election.
The campaigner who appeared zealous and desperate promised to make cash available for electorates in view to manipulate voters’ decisions.
Speaking during the campaign in one of the local governments he urged voters to consider voting for APC in the coming senatorial by-election.
He assured the party believes in finishing the job and they are poised to locating voters at their various homes “to speak the language they understand”.
He literally said the language the people understand is money (Ego Beke) and it will be given to them by the party.
He further assures that no party will defeat any contestants of the All Progressive Congress.
This indicates that the country’s fractured electoral system will be killed and buried by vote buying.
The electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission is expected to inject more efforts to help curb the ravaging but humiliating situation before subsequent elections or risk to lose people’s confidence.
