APC camp on fire as Police Detain Rochas Okorocha in Imo
Nigeria’s leading political party, All Progressive Congress appears to be turning apart as two key members fight to the public.
The former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha is reportedly arrested and detained under Hope Uzodinma, who presently is the Chief Security officer of the state.
According to the gathered report, the Senator representing Orlu zone at the National Assembly was earlier apprehend on Sunday for allegedly breaking into the sealed spring palm apartments and hotels said to be owned by Nkechi Okorocha, his wife.
Based on the news, the former governor arrived at the estate earlier on Sunday in company of a number of persons believed to be thugs and forced the gate open.
The report had it that Chinasa Nwaneri, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor Uzodinma on Special Duties, including Eric Uwakwe, his Youths Affairs counterpart, arrived at the scene and engaged in a fierce battle with the thugs.
Rochas’ security vehicles, were reportedly damaged and his aide attacked and left with a deep injury.
Efforts made to Imo police public relations office, Orlando to speak on the issues was abortive as his number refused to go as at the time of putting this report together.
