The 9th Senate, led by Ahmed Lawal, has approved the nomination of Aliyu Saidu Abubakar as non-executive commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The newly confirmed commissioner, Abubakar was earlier rejected in 2016 when Senator Bukola Saraki was the Senate President.
Aliyu Saidu Abubakar represent the Northeast geopolitical zone in the commission.
Confirmed alongside are Abdulazeez Mohammed Salman (North Central), Eng Uba Maska, executive commissioner (North West) for reappointment, and Professor Millionaire Abowei, non-Executive director (South South).
